A Confirmed Norwegian Pair — Sculptural Teak, Warm Copper
A beautifully resolved pair of mid-century table lamps by T. Røste & Co — one of Norway's most respected lighting manufacturers of the mid-20th century, known for exacting craftsmanship and a considered use of materials.
Each lamp is built on a solid teak body in a clean conical form, banded at its widest point with a brushed copper collar — a material pairing both warm and precise. The composition is simple and confident: the teak provides warmth and grain, the copper a quietly luxurious note that ages beautifully with use.
Both lamps are stamped "TR&CO" and marked "N" for Norway on the base — confirming their provenance without question.
The original shades are included and available to the buyer. The lamps have been newly fitted with plain white fabric shades — also sourced in Norway — which present more cleanly within a contemporary interior while retaining the warmth of the form. Both shade options are included with purchase.
An excellent and well-documented pair, equally suited to bedside tables, a console, or a considered desk setting.

As with all authentic mid-century pieces, gentle signs of age remain and are considered part of their character.
