Pair of Rare Minimalist Mid-Century Modern lounge chairs.
Exquisite design and workmanship, very reminiscent of Danish modernist design of that era. A real statement set.
Featuring a frame made of solid wood, providing beautiful curved ‘blade’ armrests. Sturdily build and highly presentable from each angle.
The design is slightly similar to that by Ib Kofod-Larsen for Selig, Denmark during the 1960s.
”If at first glance it may seem simplicity itself, its simplicity conceals a great ingeniousness of design. To start with, by immense skill, the designer has eliminated every unnecessary piece, yet produced a chair that is rock-solid in construction…This is not furniture that you will live with for a few years and then tire of”
