A beautifully proportioned Danish Modern drop-leaf dining table made in teak during the 1960s, showcasing the soft organic lines and refined minimalism associated with the work of Arne Vodder and the golden era of Scandinavian design. The table’s softly rounded ends, tapering sculpted elegantly turned Burmese teak legs, and refined proportions capture the quiet sophistication of Danish modernism at its height.
Executed in rich very fine old growth solid Burmese teak and teak veneer and solid teak legs, with beautiful details like the brass leaf hinges and sculpted edge detail, the table features two hinged leaves that fold neatly to create a compact profile when not in use — a hallmark of functional mid-century design. Whether used as a compact breakfast table or extended for six, it offers timeless versatility and understated beauty.
