Danish Modern Freestanding Teak Desk
Denmark, 1960s
A refined Danish modern freestanding desk in teak, dating to the 1960s.
Designed to float elegantly within a room, the desk features seven drawers to the front, offering generous and practical storage. The reverse reveals open shelving, allowing the piece to function beautifully as a centrepiece rather than a wall-bound workstation.
The composition is clean and architectural, supported by slender tapered legs that give the desk a light yet grounded presence. Integrated drawer pulls maintain the minimalist language synonymous with Danish design of the period.
The teak has been professionally restored and refinished, presenting a warm, even tone throughout while preserving the integrity of the original construction.
A versatile and sophisticated addition to a study, home office, or design-led interior.
