    Part of their 'Status' Danish-inspired range, 1960’s.

     

    A highly sought-after sideboard. Frystark Furniture is renowned for its beautiful shape and high-quality manufacturing.  

    “Status Range sideboards may be used as room dividers, they look as good from the back as they do from the front” - Frystark Status Range Catalogue.  

     

    It has two doors - shelved, that close with a magnet mechanism, a drop-down drinks cabinet (no key) and four drawers. The top drawer is felt-lined with compartments for cutlery.  It has a beautiful book-matched veneer with sculpted recessed drawer pulls.    

     

    It is in excellent vintage condition, light wear consistent with age, it has been meticulously cleaned, gently refurbished and refinished to preserve its heritage.

    About Frystark: Frystark furniture has been manufactured in Port Elizabeth since 1948, but brothers Derick and Douglas Frye preferred to shop for veneers, oils and designs in Europe. In the 1960's they moved to Cape Town to join forces with the Starke furniture manufacturing company.
