  • Original compact Mid-Century Frystark (SA) sideboard in Sapele Mahogany.

Part of their 'Status' Danish-inspired range, 1960’s

Frystark was a local manufacturer during the 60's and produced high-quality furniture based on Danish designs.

“Status Range sideboards may be used as room dividers, they look as good from the back as they do from the front” - Frystark Status Range Catalogue

Sideboard with sliding doors and four drawers on the signature tapered legs. It has a beautiful Sapele Mahogany grain veneer finish with sculpted recessed drawer pulls.  A real collector's piece.

Please check the dimensions, as it is slightly smaller than the standard Frystark sideboard in the same style, making it an exceedingly versatile and practical addition to enhance any room.

    Dimensions: 151cm wide 76cm high 46cm deep

It is in good vintage condition, it has been gently refurbished and refinished.  Any marks are very small and certainly don’t detract from the piece. It’s very well constructed.

About Frystark: Frystark furniture has been manufactured in Port Elizabeth since 1948, but brothers Derick and Douglas Frye preferred to shop for veneers, oils and designs in Europe. In the 1960's they moved to Cape Town to join forces with the Starke furniture manufacturing company.
