This collectible solid Imbuia wood sideboard is beautifully crafted and designed, an exquisite heirloom piece. The wood grain and colour are beautifully active in light.

Condition: Overall very good vintage condition. The solid imbuia top has been fully refurbished and refinished, one leg has been professionally repaired

The Binnehuis furniture stores were located in Cape Town, Stellenbosch Somerset-West, Newlands, Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg and were owned by a Dutch businessman and his wife, Mr and Mrs van Ewijck, who moved between South Africa and the Netherlands. It seems they were most prolific during the 1960s
Imbuia is not listed in the CITES Appendices, but is classified as “Vulnerable” on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
