The set of 6 Binnehuis dining chairs that complements this table is sold separately here.

Meyer was the South African master of understated midcentury elegance, with sober and clean designs. The majority of Meyer's furniture was made in the beautiful hardwood imbuia. Owning an EE Meyer piece is owning a piece of history, South Africa's most sought-after mid-century furniture manufacturer.

The Binnehuis furniture stores were located in Cape Town and Somerset-West, and were owned by a Dutch businessman and his wife, Mr and Mrs van Ewijck, who moved between South Africa and the Netherlands. It seems they were most prolific during the 1960s.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer.

We try to capture the condition of our items in our photographs as best as possible.

Prior to dispatch all items are carefully cleaned and re-coated with danish oil to ensure your item is looking its best when delivered/collected.
