1960's Frystark Double Flip Top Desk/Dressing Table
This versatile design features two hinged flip-top lids providing convenient storage compartments — one fitted with a mirror — alongside a pair of drawers to the right. Constructed from a combination of solid and veneered mahogany. Manufactured in the 1960's by South African Mid-Century furniture leader, Frystark.
Condition: Presented in good vintage condition. The piece has been gently refurbished and refinished, with minor veneer repairs to the top. The mirror displays light age-related patina, adding warmth and vintage character. One corner clip on the mirror (bottom left) is missing and will be replaced. As with all vintage pieces, light signs of age and use are to be expected.

Starck Itd. of Cape Town and their furniture factory in Ndabeni. Known as D and O Frye, Starck & co. Ltd. - shortened for easy reference to the Frystark Group. Frystark was taken over by A.F.C.O.L (Associated Furniture Companies Limited) in 1968 which effectively ended the era of classic Mid-Century Modern Frystark furniture in favor of the more conservative Unita ranges."
