A mid-century chest of drawers

  • A mid-century chest of drawers, possibly by Frystark (SA)  in Sapele Mahogany, dating from the 1970s.  The four drawers provide ample storage space. The design exudes a warm and timeless appeal, the perfect blend of functionality and vintage elegance, a perfect addition to any room.

The wood has been gently refurbished and sealed and it is in good vintage condition. (Drawer rails are in the process of being repaired).

    Dimensions: 84 cm wide x 45 cm deep x 85 cm high

About Frystark: Frystark furniture has been manufactured in Port Elizabeth since 1948, but brothers Derick and Douglas Frye preferred to shop for veneers, oils and designs in Europe. In the 1960's they moved to Cape Town to join forces with the Starke furniture manufacturing company.

See for more information on  Frystark Furniture.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer.
