About Frystark: Frystark furniture has been manufactured in Port Elizabeth since 1948, but brothers Derick and Douglas Frye preferred to shop for veneers, oils and designs in Europe. In the 1960's they moved to Cape Town to join forces with the Starke furniture manufacturing company.

See http://www.kerrodantiques.co.za/frystark-furniture/ for more information on  Frystark Furniture.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer.
